The Phoenix Automatic Weather Station is specifically designed for agro-meteorological applications, combining cutting-edge technology with a practical design. Compact, lightweight, and easy to install even by individuals without technical expertise, Phoenix is the result of Dr. Guillermo A. Baigorria’s extensive global field research. Its exclusive design complies with World Meteorological Organization (WMO) standards, optimizing sensor placement, observation frequency, and data transmission for reliable agro-meteorological condition monitoring. With quick data access from your smartphone, Phoenix puts real-time information at your fingertips.
Powered by solar energy, Phoenix monitors air temperature, maximum and minimum extreme temperatures, rainfall amount and frequency, relative humidity, dew point temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, leaf wetness, and estimates solar radiation. Phoenix transmits its observations via unlicensed Radio Frequency to the AgEris Gateway HATv3 communication unit, which can be located up to 12 km away in direct line-of-sight. This range can be extended with antenna modifications or the addition of AgEris repeaters. In case of transmission failures, Phoenix’s internal storage retains data and automatically retransmits when connectivity is restored, ensuring no data loss.
Beyond traditional weather monitoring, Phoenix integrates with Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to transform raw data into actionable intelligence. This enhances decision-making for producers, supporting critical tasks such as crop management and agrochemical applications (see our Integrated Solutions section for more details).
The AgEris App brings Phoenix’s capabilities to life, providing real-time data updates every five minutes. This enables informed and timely decisions on crop care, irrigation, and more. The app also offers daily and monthly summaries, key statistics, and specialized tools, including early warning systems and phenology-based crop management features tailored to specific crops.
With Phoenix, you’re not just monitoring the weather: you’re unlocking vital information to drive agricultural success.
The Gigio Soil Moisture Monitor is an advanced solution designed to enhance irrigation efficiency and promote sustainable agriculture. Developed to monitor soil moisture levels and optimize irrigation scheduling, Gigio provides producers with precise, data-driven insights to maximize crop health and resource efficiency.
Producers input key parameters, such as soil characteristics, irrigation water quality, pump specifications, field area, and irrigation management preferences. Using this information, Gigio measures soil moisture at two depths every 24 hours. These measurements, combined with the provided field and irrigation system details, are analyzed to estimate soil water content and determine whether irrigation is required. The system offers personalized recommendations, specifying the exact amount of water needed and calculating the pump operation time based on the field area and pump specifications.
Gigio sends real-time early warning alerts directly to the producer’s smartphone, ensuring timely decision-making. Data is transmitted every 24 hours via unlicensed radio frequency to the AgEris Gateway HATv3, which can be located up to 12 km away in direct line-of-sight. This range can be extended with antenna modifications or the addition of AgEris repeaters. In case of transmission failures, Gigio’s internal storage retains data and automatically retransmits when connectivity is restored, ensuring no data loss.
Designed for scalability, a single AgEris Gateway can support up to 100 Gigio units, significantly reducing data transmission costs and enabling simultaneous management of multiple fields using the same communication unit and app. Powered by a solar panel, Gigio is eco-friendly and reliable, making it an ideal choice for modern precision agriculture.
With Gigio, producers gain actionable insights to optimize irrigation, reduce water waste, and enhance crop productivity, all from the convenience of their smartphone.
